A Money Back Guarantee

Dearly beloved,

When is the last time you cashed in on a “money-back guarantee?”   It’s a great thing! You buy a product, but something goes wrong with it within the time of the guarantee. You take it back to the store and they either give you your money back, or replace the product with one that works. That’s a good deal!

Don’t you wish life worked in the same way?  But there is no guarantee that one’s marriage is going to last forever, that children won’t go off the deep end or that we will all be healthy until old age!

The most important matter where you need a secure guarantee is your eternal destiny. This life is brief and uncertain, but eternity lasts a long time! You don’t want to stand before God and have Him say, “I am so sorry but we don’t have a reservation under your name! When did you book it?”

We just finished studying the book of Hebrews and if you remember Jesus is the “guarantee” of a better covenant that ensures our eternal salvation for all who draw near to Him!  That’s better than a good deal!  “Therefore Jesus is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, …” Hebrews 7:25.   He is either able or He isn’t? You don’t need to save someone who is doing pretty well, but rather someone who is lost, incapacitated, and in immediate danger of perishing. Without outside help, he will not survive.  That describes all of humanity.

This Sunday we will look at a big word – “justification.”  Then we will gather together again on Friday February 10th – which we call “second Friday’s” to study this critical doctrine during our group time after dinner.

Please join us this Sunday and read Romans 3:19 to the end of the chapter and Romans 5! We hope that our time together will continue to instill confidence in God’s work in our lives and His amazing goodness.  Our Lord makes good on every single promise!  My title is, “A Guaranteed Warranty.”

Because Jesus keeps His Word,
