Got any secrets?

Dear friends,

Got any secrets?  If so, who are you keeping them from?  God would be a poor choice as He knows your thoughts before you think them, your words before you speak them, your deeds before you do them and your choices before you make them.

A secret is something kept from knowledge or view.  CBS on June 19, 1952 aired a new show called, “I’ve got a secret” which ran for 15 years. Secrets however, go back to the garden of Eden where Adam and Eve thought they could keep something from God! There was no “cover up” only exposure.

God has no more secrets or mysteries when it comes to His eternal plan and purpose.

“The mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”  Col. 1:26-27

Our passage for this Sunday is Philippians 2:12-18.  “We are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.”  Are you living out your salvation amid this crooked and perverse generation or is it to mysterious?  If you know the secret share it with others like Paul did with the Philippians in chapter 4.  If you are still in the dark, please join us this Sunday as I will give you a sneak preview.

There is something in your relationship with the Lord that is to be done secretly – praying, fasting and giving.  If you do, He has promised to reward you openly.  The Lord loves to give His children good gifts.

In His solid grip and for His eternal glory,

Glen

P.S. One of my favorite books besides the 66 in the Bible is “Hudson’s Taylor’s Spiritual Secret.”  He founded the China Inland Mission but lived many years without much victory until the Lord made it known to him.
