Is everyday an “Easter Day”?

Dear friends,

Is everyday an “Easter Day” for you?  “When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her (Mary), they refused to believe it.” Mark 16:11

The disciples refused to believe that Jesus was alive – do you believe it?  Do you believe He is alive in you?  He either is or He isn’t – there are no other options.  If He isn’t then you are without hope and without God is this world now and forever.  If He is then your “citizenship” is in heaven. Is, means present tense – today.  Thus, the possibilities are endless, and your future is not in doubt!

Part of our calling according to Phil. 4:1-5 (our passage for tomorrow) is to “stand firm in the Lord.” It is not a onetime exhortation.

“Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you.” 1 Cor. 11:2

“Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” 1 Cor. 16:13

“Not that we lord it over your faith, but are workers with you for your joy; for in your faith you are standing firm.”  2 Cor. 1:24

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Eph. 6:11

“So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.” 2 Thess. 2:15

How do we stand firm in this shifting society in which we live?  How are we as the bride of Christ preparing our children and grandchildren? Please, join us tomorrow as we examine how!

Because He lives, (Gal. 2:20)
