  • April 14 The Triumphal Entry on Palm Sunday                        Luke 19:28-44
    • The crowd shouted, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” How does that compare to what the crowd cried out later in the week?
    • Why did Jesus weep over Jerusalem?
    • In verse 20:42, Jesus said that something was hidden from Jerusalem’s eyes. What was hidden from the occupants of the city?
  • April 15 The Preparation and Participation of the Passover    Luke 22:1-23
    • Compare and contrast the Jewish Passover (Exodus 12) and the Last Supper. What do the elements in the Passover and the Last Supper represent?

    • For the disciples, this is one of those lowest of lows to the highest of highs moment. How would you feel if you were one of the first witnesses?
    • Verses 10-11 tells us that the apostles did not believe the women because their words seemed to them like nonsense. Did they forget Jesus’ teachings or did they just didn’t understand when He was teaching?

    • The two disciples’ eyes were opened to Christ when he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave to them. Why not before?
