Never Seen Anything Like it?

Dear friends,

I have done a lot of travel over the last 44 years!  My eyes have gazed upon some beautiful and spectacular scenery. The Pyramids are something to behold but I would have to say for just one look, “Victoria Falls” is in a class by itself!  I have been there countless times but I never get over the wonder and majesty!

Our wonderful Creator has certainly revealed His greatness and majesty through what He has made.  This Sunday we continue in our series, “Loving like Jesus loved.”  I would encourage you to read and meditate on Mark 2:1-14. After Jesus heals the helpless paralytic the Bible records these words, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Many are longing for and seeking miracles! I would like to encourage you today by saying that if the Lord Jesus has revealed Himself to you that your life is, “A series of miracles.”  Perhaps you have never thought about it in that way?  I can look back despite my sin and failures and see how the Holy Spirit changed and is changing my life.  Here is verse that explains the process:

“And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. 2 Cor. 3:18

That is a miracle of magnitude proportion! The miracle in Mark 2 would not have happened from a human perspective if the 4 nameless friends hadn’t “teamed up” to get their friend to the feet of Jesus! Teaming up is our game plan for our Alpha class.

I hope to see you Sunday and here are 3 reminders:

  • 2nd Friday is coming March 9–our last one.
  • The Men’s breakfast is Saturday March 17, and I am looking forward to sharing with all of you on “inner integrity.” Sign up on the church patio on Sunday.
  • Nancy Liu’s memorial/celebration service will be Saturday March 17 at 1 pm.

Just a reminder that this weekend we go on day light savings time.  So, set your clocks 1 hour ahead on Saturday night!

For Jesus’ Sake,

Glen

P.S.  Thanks for praying for me while I was gone!  The Lord faithfulness was very evident!
