You Can’t Escape

Dear friends,

You can’t escape! It is an impossibility!  You may think you can, but I am telling you that you don’t stand “a ghost of a chance!”

Paul in our study in Philippians deals with a lot of “certainties.”  Here is one what every person who has ever lived will participate in:

“So that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Phil. 2:10-11

Everyone will do something, and everyone will say something – every president from George Washington to Donald Trump! No one will be miss bowing and confessing.

What we all can do and should do is “prepare for and anticipate” that day. Paul couldn’t wait to appear before the “judgment seat of Christ” because the Savior of the world paid off his debt.

Joy will always elude us if we love this world and the things in this world.  Please meditate on Philippians 2:5-11 before Sunday.  This is one the greatest passages on Christology in the entire Bible.

Men, please sign up online for our 8 am men’s breakfast this Saturday.  Bring your sons and consider inviting a friend.

On Saturday afternoon we will honor Dr. Art Brown at 2 pm here at Valley.  We miss him already but want to give honor to whom honor is due.

Have a joyful day walking with Jesus,

Glen
