Resurrection-Inspired Activity

Dear Church Family,

What a week it’s been! On Sunday we celebrated King Jesus’ death and resurrection with music, Scripture, food, pictures and animals. On Tuesday, our long-awaited Alpha Course began. We had a diverse group of visitors because you prayed and invited people to learn about Christianity. We had plenty of food and beautiful decorations because you’ve given faithfully. Here’s a shot of the Campus Center before the guests arrived. During my message on Sunday, I’ll show you a picture of the room teeming with visitors and hosts under the festive lights. By the way, it’s not too late to join the party. You, Believer, and your spiritually curious friend can start this Tuesday night at 6:30 PM.

On Wednesday we bid farewell to the Zimbabwe Team. Below is a picture from moments before they boarded the church bus for the first leg of their long journey to Africa. Let’s keep them in our prayers.

Speaking of bidding farewell, this Sunday we’re starting a new series called “Stirred Not Shaken: A Study of Second Peter.” It’s the Apostle’s goodbye (or rather, “see you later!” letter) to a group of believers who were being taught falsely about God’s plans for the future. This brief letter has long captured my imagination. I believe it will capture yours as well. When we gather I’ll tell you the story behind the letter, which is one of drama and suspense.

Your Brother in Christ,

Darren
