Dearly Beloved,
Have any secrets? Anything you are hiding from the One whose eyes behold the evil and the good in every place? The prophet Jeremiah put it this way, “Can a person hide himself in hiding places so that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.” Jer. 23:24
Do you remember “Watergate” and the coverup? Coverups in governments are a daily deal unfortunately, and the church is no exception. There is only one antidote to sin, transgression, iniquity, and coverups – repentance! Jesus in Revelation 2 and 3 instructed 5 of 7 churches to repent. What do you think He would say to Valley?
I have a book I pulled off the shelf here in my office as I am typing entitled, Men’s Secret Wars. On the front cover is a quote by the author of “Every Man’s Battle, and he says, “If I had read Men’s Secret Wars and applied it as a young man, I would have saved myself many sorrows, many regrets.”
How many regrets do you and I have? How many more will we have? Joseph had to overcome many challenges, obstacles, and hurdles on his journey from the pit to the pinnacle of power in Egypt. This Sunday we will examine two major challenges that he navigated with the assistance of His Lord.
Guess what? Women, boys, and girls have their secret wars as well. No country goes to war without a battle plan. Do you have a strategic game plan for the things that tempt you the most? I hope that you will join us this Sunday and as I often say, “invite a friend.” Your friends struggle just like you do!
In the hands of the real Champion,
Glen
