Dear saints,
In this fast-paced world here in Silicon Valley, ownership is everything. We chase equity, pursue property, and build portfolios – but Psalm 24 interrupts our journey with a radical truth: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” That includes your job, your marriage, your mortgage, your ambitions, your time, and yes—even your soul. The question is not whether you are owned – it is by what or who. Something wakes you up in the morning. Something drives your decisions. Whether it is the pressure to perform, the fear of missing out, the longing for approval, the craving of unhealthy passions, or pursuing God!
Psalm 24 was written by David as a triumphant anthem – possibly when the Ark of the Covenant entered Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6). Some biblical scholars believe that Psalm 24 also foreshadows Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and still others that this has an eschatological fulfillment – the return of Christ in Glory!
Is Psalm 24 a trifecta of glory: past, present, and future – I do not know? But I do know that Psalm 24 answers this question, “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord and who may stand in His holy place?” It is the person who has clean hands and a pure heart.” Sunday, let us come before our King with authenticity. We will be celebrating communion together as a family. So, let us prepare our hearts and worship our sovereign King in spirit and in truth!
