Burt graduated from California State University, Cal Maritime. After time in the US Merchant Marine and the US Navy, he returned ashore and worked in the chemical industry. In 2000 he established a US based LED company and another in Xiamen, China in 2003. Now a consultant to companies in semiconductor and technology, his contacts in industry are wide internationally. He is often sought as a speaker and an expert in international business and technology. At Valley Church he is a member of the elder board and the support team. Burt also heads up the Valley Golden Agers, leads a discipleship group the meets on Monday nights (all are welcome to join), and a men’s 2nd hour Sunday school class.
