If you’ve been in any shopping malls or rode in an elevator since October, you’ve probably heard one of many renditions of a Christmas carol. Many times we hum along even if we don’t know all the words. While some of these songs are about snow, reindeer, and mistletoe, many are about the Christ of Christmas. And although these songs are well loved, sadly they are often not well understood. During the four weeks of December, we’ll be looking at the meaning and messages of songs like “Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel”, “What Child is This?” and “Joy to the World”.
So ask the person standing next to you in the elevator if they’d like to know the story behind that song they are humming… and invite them to join us for these four Sundays at 9:00 am and 10:45 am.
Christmas Eve will be at 5 pm on Monday 12/24.
