The Gospel of Luke contains a total of 24 parables. Among these, 18 parables are unique to Luke’s Gospel and not found in the other Synoptic Gospels (Matthew and Mark). These parables illustrate themes like mercy, forgiveness, the value of each person, and the proper use of wealth and resources, which are prominent in Luke’s Gospel. On the flip side, they are very direct and serious to say the least.
